King Crab is the king of crustaceans living in the icy waters of northern seas: it is undoubtedly a very sought after product for its size and especially for the exquisite quality of its meat. The red king crab (Paralithodes camtschaticus), also called Kamchatka crab or Alaska crab, lives in the cold seas of the northern hemisphere.
What makes King Crab special?
Its firm white and red meat, with an intense taste of the sea and slightly sweet, have made it a unique and highly appreciated culinary product in recent years. Interestingly, although known as Red King Crab, this color only appears once cooked as when the crab is alive it shows a burgundy color. It is the largest crab on the planet, with a wingspan that can reach 1.8 meters and weighing more than 12 Kg (44 lbs) and its capture is done by using pots and traps as fishing tools.

On the other hand, "deepsea" crab is caught from the depths of the southeastern part of the Atlantic Ocean, boiled in seawater and frozen on board, ensuring maximum freshness, texture and flavor.
