Pink Prawn Tails
The pink shrimp is fished at 150 mt depth and is a crustacean with small size and sweet, flavorful flesh. Considered the least noble of the Mediterranean crustaceans, it is actually a genuine and tasty product characteristic of Italian cuisine.
What makes Mediterranean shellfish special?
A very wide range of products, from red shrimp to scampi, octopus to pink shrimp, squid to prawns, to pay homage to the local catch of Mazara, Sciacca, Egadi Islands and Trapani.
Keeping the freshness of seafood intact and transferring it to the best kitchens in Italy is Don Gambero's main goal.
Mediterranean Channel of Sicily
Depending on market availability, red shrimp could be sourced from vessels not flying the Italian flag, but still fished in the Ionian Sea FAO Zone 37.2.2 and processed in Mazara del Vallo plants.
