Deep-Water Pink Shrimp - Shelled
Pink shrimp Parapenaeus longirostris is fished at a depth of 150 meters (500 feet) and it is a crustacean with small dimensions and sweet and tasty meat. Considered the least noble among the crustaceans of the Mediterranean, in reality it is a genuine and tasty product characteristic of Italian cuisine.
Its nutritional properties are endless and it also has very few calories!
Like all Don Gambero products, as soon as it is fished, it is cut down in the certified laboratories of the fishing boats with a very high thermal shock: the processing is carried out quickly without rinsing or glazing in order to maintain all the freshness of the product. The shrimp are then packaged in special trays that guarantee unchanged structure, flavor, aroma and nutritional values.
The convenience of Don Gambero's "Pronti all'Uso" range: to defrost the product, only about ten minutes in cold water is needed, after which it is sufficient to extract the shelled pink shrimp which will have maintained all their freshness.
