Chervil
Chervil is an aromatic herb and medicinal plant- Anthriscus Cerefolium-which is a member of the Umbrelliferae family. Native to Russia and the Middle East, it arrived in Europe thanks to the ancient Romans. In Italy its use is uncommon, while it is very popular in France and the United States.
It is used in many preparations, most often as an alternative to parsley. Its flavor, in fact, is quite similar, but more delicate and also reminiscent of anise. It can be used either fresh or dried, although the first opportunity is always preferable as it is the only one that fully preserves all its aroma.
